BEAM

Service

Beam

Specification:

An iron beam is a long, solid bar primarily made from iron, designed to support heavy loads in construction by acting as a structural framework; it comes in various shapes and sizes, with the most common type being the "I-beam" due to its "I" shaped cross-section, and is often used in buildings, bridges, and industrial structures to provide strength and stability against significant weight distribution; today, most "iron beams" are actually made from steel, an alloy of iron with enhanced properties like increased tensile strength and corrosion resistance.

Applications:

Used in building construction for floors, ceilings, and supporting walls, as well as in bridges to span large distances and withstand traffic loads.

Shapes:

Common shapes : I-beam: The most common type, with a cross-section resembling the letter "I", featuring a web (vertical section) connecting two flanges (horizontal sections)

Common shapes : H-beam: Similar to an I-beam but with wider flanges, appearing more like an "H".

Benefits :

Advantages of Iron Beams (Steel Beams)

High Strength-to-Weight Ratio :Steel beams have a higher strength-to-weight ratio than concrete, allowing for longer spans and less material use.

Ductility : Steel can undergo significant deformation before failure, which provides warning signs and allows for better energy absorption in seismic events.

Speed of Construction : Steel beams are prefabricated, allowing for quicker assembly on-site, reducing overall construction time.

Versatility : Steel can be easily shaped and welded into various configurations, making it suitable for complex designs

Recyclability : Steel is highly recyclable, making it more environmentally friendly in terms of material life cycle.

Established in year 2001, based in Mandi Gobindgarh, Keshav Ispat is an eminent part of Mahawar Group and a sales hub of steel structural products.
